Web Design: Appreciate the past to develop for the future.

Recently I have begun a new unit of work on web design with my classes. In the building of foundation knowledge and concepts I have had the students learn about the history and developmental trends of the Internet. This has then progressed on to the students writing a hypothesis about where they can see the technologies of the Internet developing to from research and recognised trends. In time this will lead to the students developing web design skills and the into developing websites for small businesses. The picture above is an example of one of the stimulus items that the students have had access to.
